Adventure Training is an important part of the ATC's training syllabus. One of our aims is "to foster the spirit of adventure" after all! Cadets get involved in this very soon after joining the Squadron - Initial Expedition Training (IET) and Map Reading are two of the subjects taught to new cadets.

Walking, climbing, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, caving, diving, Nordic skiing, hang gliding, parachuting, assault courses, orienteering ... These are just some of the adventurous activities that Air Cadets can participate in and in some cases, gain qualifications for - like the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
